The Shortie Squash by James Cheal is a high-performance shortboard designed for intermediate and advanced surfers who want a forgiving board that can handle a range of conditions. The moderate single concave generates speed and drive, while the squash tail provides control in the pocket at high speed and forgiveness out of the face. The board features a unique extra bit of foam designed into the stringer line that makes it an excellent paddler. Despite its thickness, the Shortie Squash has a medium performance rail that allows for full control when surfed in critical parts of the wave.
